Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Taskly platform ("Platform"), including our website and mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Account Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your account information up to date
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Not share, transfer, or sell your account to any other person

3. Service Marketplace Role

Taskly operates as a marketplace that connects clients seeking services with independent taskers who provide those services. Taskly is not a service provider. We do not employ taskers, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any services offered through the Platform. All agreements for services are made directly between clients and taskers. Taskly facilitates the connection but is not a party to those agreements.

4. Payments, Fees & Refunds

All payments on Taskly are processed securely through PayMongo. When a booking is confirmed, the agreed price is authorized on the client's payment method and held until the task is completed.

  • Commission: Taskly charges a platform fee (commission) on each completed booking. The commission rate is displayed before you confirm a booking and may vary by service category.
  • Tasker Payouts:After a task is completed and the client confirms satisfaction, the tasker's payout (agreed price minus platform fee) is released. Payouts are processed via GCash or bank transfer.
  • Refunds: If a task is cancelled before the tasker begins work, the full amount is refunded. Partial refunds may apply for cancellations after work has commenced, subject to our Cancellation Policy. Disputes are handled through our dispute resolution process.

5. Dispute Resolution

If a disagreement arises between a client and a tasker, either party may initiate a dispute through the Platform. Taskly will review the dispute and may request additional information or evidence from both parties. Our support team will attempt to mediate and reach a fair resolution. Taskly's decision on disputes involving refunds or payment adjustments is final and binding.

For disputes that cannot be resolved through our internal process, both parties agree to submit to mediation or arbitration in accordance with Philippine law before pursuing litigation.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Provide false or misleading information in listings, profiles, or reviews
  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid paying fees (e.g., arranging off-platform payments)
  • Interfere with the operation of the Platform or attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on third-party rights

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The Taskly name, logo, website design, and all content created by Taskly are the intellectual property of Taskly and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any Taskly-owned content without our prior written consent.

By posting content on the Platform (such as reviews, photos, or task descriptions), you grant Taskly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if Taskly has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Taskly's total liability for any claim arising from the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Taskly in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Metro Manila, Philippines, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
